Rant against Zionists - There was never a sovereign country called Palestine
One of many often repeated arguments made by Zionists is that there has never was a sovereign country. Another way Zionists put it is to say that there has never been any historical records of an ancient Palestine country or Kingdom. This is to indirectly imly that either that there is no such thing as Palestinians, or that Palestinians have no rights towards freedom.
This is my rant against this argument:
Dear Zionists who are capable of reading history but unable to comprehend it, and whom often repeat the known fact that there was no such thing as a historical sovereign Palestinian state.
News flash: The same is true with almost every nation state that emerged as a result of European colonialism.
The Malayan and hence Malaysian identity didn’t exist prior to British colonialism in Southeast Asia. The Indonesian identity didn't exist prior to Dutch colonialism in Southeast Asia. The Filipino identity didn’t exist prior to Spanish colonialism in Southeast Asia. This does not in anyway imply that Southeast Asia was a barren land with no local kingdoms or governments nor local people. Nor does it imply that it is wrong for the locals to fight for their independence, i.e. freedom.
Prior to European colonialism in Southeast Asia, the local people fell under the identity of their former local kingdoms. The Europeans came here, tore apart our local kingdoms, and hence our identity. We assumed the identity 'assigned' to us by our colonial 'masters', and fought for our independence under this new identity. To tell us local inhabitants that we have no rights or that it is wrong of us to unite under a new identity and take up arms against our foreign occupiers is absurd. It was they who brought their violence here to us. We didn't ask for them to settle here let alone bring their violence here.
The Federation of Malaya was formed by locals in 1 February 1948 and was self-governing but was not sovereign until their independence in 31 August 1957. There is no records of any historical kingdoms nor identity known as Malaya or Malaysia before British colonialism there. Does this mean the people who gained independence are not locals or are not deserving of liberation?
North Borneo (now known as Sabah) gained self-governance from the British in 31 August1963 while Sarawak gained de facto self-governance on 22 July 1963, where both states never attained sovereignty as they took part in the formation of the Federation of Malaysia later in the same year. Does this mean that there are no natives in Sabah or Sarawak or are not deserving of liberation?
The Republic of Indonesia was formed by locals in 1945 and was self-governing but was not sovereign until it gained independence in 1957. There is no records of any historical kingdoms nor identity known as Indonesia before Dutch colonialism there. Does this mean the people who gained independence are not locals or are not deserving of liberation?
The Revolutionary Government of the Philippines was formed by locals in 1898 after which was then succeeded by Philippine Republic formed in 1899 (now remembered as First Philippine Republic or Malolos Republic) and lasted only until 1901 when they fell under American Colonial Rule. The Commonwealth of the Philippines was formed in 1935, was self-governing but not sovereign. Though interrupted by a Japanese occupation from 1942 to 1945, the Commonwealth government resumed and were not sovereign until their independence in 1946. There is no records of any historical kingdoms nor identity known as Philippines before Spanish colonialism there. Does this mean that the people who gained independence are not locals or are not deserving of liberation?
This is just an example in one small region of the world. It's the same for most parts of the world, since most modern nation states of the world were results of European ccolonialism. One could perform a quick searh yourself to see how many out of the 54 recognised nation states in Africa have continuous ties to ancient kingdoms. Only three (3), which are Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan, has continuous ties to an ancient kingdom counterpart. The remaining 51 nation states, like Palestine, are modern constructiond upon liberation of western colonialism and have no historical record of ancient kingdom counterparts This includes Mali, Ghana and Tunisia since, like Israel, they only borrow the names of ancient kingdoms within the same locality without actually having any continuous political continuity. Those who repeat the fact that there are no records of historical kingdoms or identity as Palestine or that there is has never was a sovereign nation state to imply support towards Israel's action towards Palestine demonstrate an extreme lack of comprehending basic history of recent modern nation states. It also demonstrates utter absurdity, as even if the Palestinians are not native, nothing justifies massacres let alone genocide.
Palestine is one modern nation state that is still in the struggle for independence from their foreign occupies, for which the occupation 'rights' was transferred from the British and American, then to the Zionist immigrants from Europe.
